I offer a complete range of exhibit development services, from conceptualization and design through fabrication and installation. Whether it is something as simple as the design and creation of an exhibit case or as complex as the design and implementation of a series of high-caliber exhibits- you can rest easy when The Cherrystone Studio is on the job.

Below are snapshots of recent museum undertakings. Check back regularly to see other projects which are in the works.

Pictured above is an exhibit whose components provide a very large and flexible-use space for the display of objects. The casework is very simple and unfinished, taking its cue from the objects exhibited and the overall narrative message. The cases are extremely simple to assemble and require no hardware or tools (something I am very proud of). These features will be of great help when the exhibit travels to other venues.
These photos show a project completed in April 2005 for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. I designed and fabricated a recreation of a 19th century Pullman railcar. Built from scratch, it is rich with mahogany paneling, brass fixtures, and decorative ceiling relief. The car was once used to transport young fish to planting locations throughout the state. You can see this exhibit at the Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery, near Kalamazoo, Michigan. (This railcar is but a small part of a much greater project entitled 'The Great Lakes Ecological Information System'- taking up residence in six locations throughout the state. Thanks to my fine crew from the MSU Museum for all their hard work on that enormous project!)
