Below are some of my mural projects. Feeling as though you could physically enter a purely painted space is part of the fun of a mural. I give all of my murals a rich sense of detail and depth.
This mural is painted on the curved walls of a fountain surround in the basement of a gorgeous historic home. The scene is a composite view of Provence- seamlessly stitching together some of the favorite places of the homeowners.

There are over 200 individual buildings in this painting. I even integrated a portrait of the house in which the mural is located.

This mural, Ovid, Circa 1900, was painted near my home. It is an exterior mural, measuring 10x20'. The scene is taken from a turn of the century postcard which was once sold by area merchants. Featured in the scene are carriages (the building of which was a major industry in Ovid), various shops, hotels and restaurants. People can be seen on the sidewalk and street. A gentleman is even riding a bicycle in the distance. Each detail was painstakingly added. The mural was created using the finest exterior paints and will last for generations. Historic photos are a big favorite for many people and gazing into an image this large is really a special experience. This project took approximately 250 hours over the course of a few months. It is much loved by area residents and is even used by local schools as a backdrop for local history and art lessons.
At 5x9', this mural provides a large, image-rich scene for a young child to gaze into as he lounges in his bedroom. The couple who commissioned this mural know how important it is to expose their toddler to vibrant, detailed imagery. Evidence abounds showing this visual stimulation is priceless and plays an enormous role in healthy brain development.

I included portraits of the family in the narrative. Family and friends alike have been provided with a great deal of enjoyment while viewing this whimsical scene. When the child grows old enough, this room will be transformed into a home office. The mural was planned with this in mind and the scene should feel right in both environments.
